This is a fantastic opportunity to experience sailing in a fun and exciting way. Two short 4hr+ coastal passages with plenty of opportunities to stop, swim, spot wildlife and generally explore the coast between Fowey, and Falmouth.

You’ll join the boat on Friday evening and get to know the rest of the crew before all mucking in to make dinner. After a hearty breakfast we’ll set sail towards Falmouth and if the weather permits stop along the way for a swim just off Portscatho.

Once we enter the Fal we’ll sail upriver passing the waterside pontoon at Trelissick, passing through the very deep King Harry Passage, part of the ancient pilgrim's route to St Michael's Mount, on our way to way to the Truro river and a small pontoon where the river banks are wooded and home to perergrines and buzzards!

We’ll get the opportunity to jump off the boom and go for another swim before a peaceful night tied alongside. In the morning we retrace our steps and sail back down the Fal and if weather, tide and times permit we’ll try for a short detour into the Helford before setting off homeward bound towards Fowey.

Explorer Voyages
Explorer Voyages

We have grouped our voyages into categories so you have a better idea as what to expect during the voyage.

Explorer Voyages have low mileage for the time allotted and are almost entirely coastal and day sailing in nature. There may be an overnight sail or a day when you head further offshore, but most of the time you will be close to the coast and having plenty of time to explore ashore. If you are completely new to sailing or nervous about your capabilities, these would be an ideal entry point.
